List of Important Tunnel Design Works
-
Two tunnels at the Bilecik Bypass on Bozuyuk-Bilecik-Mekece Highway, the lengths being 2500 and 750 meters. These designs included tunnel excavation and supporting & lining as well as ventilation, signalization and other utilities. The longer one was also side connected with a ventilation and emergency tunnel. The project works were completed in 1997.
-
The doubling of Trabzon City Passage Tunnel, although of a very short length, proved to be a very challenging design job. Its shallow depth overloaded and side loaded with dwelling units and hotels on a critical geology, required a carefully conceived and braced boring and support detailing. The confined site and access conditions with an overpass bridge at the exit added considerably to the already booming difficulties of the designer.
-
Six tunnels on Golcuk-Pozanti Motorway with lengths between 300 -950 meters and all with two tubes. Fierce topography and occasionally precarious geological conditions dictated very careful layouts for entrance and exit portals. Success in estimating rock strata and rock mass classification proved to be vital in accomplishing regular advance as well as keeping the costs within reasonable limits without compromising on safety.
-
Camlibel tunnel, on Yildizeli - 7. Region road (Camlibel Tunnel Passage). The design of a tunnel with a length over 980 m. including geological and geotechnical investigations in difficult terrain.
-
Camburnu tunnel, on Arakli-Cayeli Costal highway with its. 600 meters of length was decided to prevent the environment at this excellently beautiful Black sea Site. The geology was close to medium and no special difficulties encountered neither in design nor in the construction.
-
Three tunnels on Antalya-Kemer Motorway all with on tube, having total length of 2275 m.
